Crab Island Excursion

We will be renting pontoon boats (each holds 14 people), departing across the street just 200 yards from The Island Resort — an easy walk! We will depart dock @ 11:00am and depart Crab Island @ 4:30pm. The boat ride to Crab Island is a quick 20-minute trip.

Crab Island is one of Destin’s brightest jewels — a submerged sandbar in Choctawhatchee Bay, covered in just 1 to 4 feet of brilliant turquoise water during high tide and clear emerald green the rest of the time. It’s like a four-acre natural swimming pool — perfect for wading, snorkeling, playing, sliding from the pontoon’s slide, and relaxing with friends.

Once the first boat is full, we will book additional boats as needed.

  After the excursion, we’ll return in time for everyone to get back, freshen up, and get ready for the evening fun.

Thursday Night Meet & Greet at Al’s Beach Club & Burger Bar

Hosted and sponsored by our friends at Gulf Coast Lifestyle (GCLS), the meet & greet will be held at Al’s Beach Club & Burger Bar starting at 9pm till 12am, just 300 yards from the resort on the east side — again, an easy walk!

Al’s Beach Club and Burger Bar is the hub of all entertainment at The Boardwalk!  

Al’s is an exposed outdoor restaurant, making it open for business only from March through October. The unique fast-casual concept is perfect for those coming fresh off the beach to recharge with a quick bite. Our menu is simple and fresh, with American classics such as craft burgers, hand-cut fries, and famous custard shakes.

Al’s brings The Boardwalk to life with a state-of-the-art lighting system that illuminates the island at night with live bands and house DJ. 

Al’s Beach Club is all about food, fun!

Bar Policy & After Hours Info

There will be a cash bar located in the ballroom for your convenience.
🚫 Please note: No outside drinks or personal cups are allowed in the ballroom while the bar is open and serving.

The bar will close at 2:00 AM, but if sales are low, it may shut down earlier—so we recommend bringing your preferred drinks to enjoy while visiting rooms or to keep the fun going after the bar closes.

💳 POLICIES:

• Cancellation: Must cancel 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid charges

• Deposit: Valid credit card required; no deposit needed

💰 RATES:

• Starting at $229.00 USD per night (plus tax)

• The resort will honer the Risqué rate three days before the event and three days after the event if you decide.

Please note: Guest’s need to contact the group housing coordinator Venessa Blackmon directly at 850-337-9194, if they want to extend their stay or book different room types outside of the group block (which is subject to availability and rate). Reservations needed after the cutoff date must be booked directly through group housing. The group rate after cutoff is not guaranteed, and is subject to current availability
