1. Featured Events (Some with Affiliate Relationships)
What they are:
- Events we personally research, vet, and write about
- Events we genuinely recommend based on our knowledge and experience
- Some of these have affiliate relationships where we earn commissions
How they work:
- We create and manage the event listing content
- When you book through our affiliate links, we may earn a commission from the event organizer
- This costs you nothing extra – you pay the same price as booking directly
- The organizer pays us a percentage (typically 5-15%) of the booking
Why we feature them:
- We believe they offer exceptional value
- We trust the organizers
- We would recommend them to friends and family
- Our earnings help us maintain and improve the platform
2. Promoter Listings (No Affiliate Relationship)
What they are:
- Events listed by independent event organizers
- Created and managed by the promoters themselves
How they work:
- Promoters apply to list on our platform
- We vet and approve each promoter and event
- Promoters link directly to their own booking systems
- We do not earn commissions from these bookings
- Some promoters may pay optional listing fees for premium placement
Why we feature them:
- They meet our quality and safety standards
- They expand our event coverage and diversity
- They serve our community’s varied interests
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Affiliate marketing is a common business model where we earn a commission by recommending products or services we trust. Here’s how it works:
- We research and recommend an event we genuinely believe is valuable
- You click our affiliate link to learn more or book
- You book directly with the organizer at the same price you’d pay anyway
- The organizer pays us a small commission for the referral
Important: Our affiliate relationships never influence which events we feature. We only recommend events we truly believe in, whether we earn from them or not.
How We Make Money
Revenue Stream 1: Affiliate Commissions
- We earn commissions when you book certain events through our affiliate links
- Commission rates vary by event type
- You pay the same price as booking directly
- This applies only to events we personally research and list
Revenue Stream 2: Listing Fees (Optional)
- Some event organizers pay to have premium placement on our platform
- These are clearly marked as featured or premium listings
- Payment for placement does not guarantee a listing – all events must meet our standards
What We Don’t Do:
- ❌ We don’t charge users to browse or use the platform
- ❌ We don’t accept payment for positive reviews
- ❌ We don’t feature events solely because they pay us

How to Identify Affiliate vs. Promoter Listings
On Event Pages:
Affiliate Events will include:
- A disclosure statement near the booking button
- Language like “We may earn a commission when you book”
- Often labeled as “Featured by Ticket4Play” or similar
Promoter Listings will show:
- Direct links to the organizer’s booking system
- “Listed by [Organizer Name]” or similar designation
- No affiliate disclosure (because there’s no affiliate relationship)
In Our Content:
Blog posts and guides that link to affiliate events will include:
- Disclosure at the top: “This article contains affiliate links”
- Inline disclosures near booking links
- Clear language about potential commissions
General content without affiliate links:
- No disclosure needed
- Pure editorial content

Whether an event has an affiliate relationship or not, our vetting process is the same:
For All Events We Feature:

- ✅ Professionalism – Communication, reliability, customer service

Bottom line: An affiliate relationship doesn’t make an event more likely to be featured. Quality and trustworthiness are our only criteria.
Specific Event Types & Commissions
While specific rates vary, here are typical commission ranges:

Note: Commission rates don’t affect our recommendations. A lower commission doesn’t mean we feature an event less prominently – we feature events based on value to our users, not our earnings.
Questions About Specific Events
“Is this event an affiliate link?”
If an event listing includes affiliate disclosure language near the booking button, it’s an affiliate relationship. If not, it’s a promoter listing.
“Do I pay more if I book through Ticket4Play?”
No. You always pay the exact same price whether you book through us or directly with the organizer. Our commission comes from the organizer’s revenue, not an upcharge to you.
“Can I book directly instead?”
Absolutely! You’re welcome to search for and book any event directly. We’d prefer you use our links (it helps us keep the platform running), but we understand if you prefer to book directly.
“Why should I use your affiliate links?”
